Today I pulled the head. Looks like I got lucky. Valves appear ok, and the head is now at the machine shop getting straight-edged. Upon further review, it appears that something either locked the timing belt up, or it's timing belt failure. There was a section of the belt where the teeth were chewed off. My though is that the car died when the crank hit that spot. I would've thought with all the cranking I did attempting to restart it, would've gotten at least 1 set of intake/exhaust valves. Is there a point in the cycle where all the valves are out of the way of the pistons?
